2026-2027 Tryouts

Yes, there are no costs to attend tryouts.

In alignment with US Soccer and MSYSA, Baltimore Union will be shifting from a birth year cut off to an August 1st - July 31st cutoff.

• All players should attend tryouts for their designated age group as outlined in the chart below.
• Players interested in being considered to “play up” in the older age group should register for that tryout in addition to their own.
• Current families who are unsure about the appropriate placement should consult with their coach for guidance.

Players should wear a white shirt and black shorts. Each player will receive a numbered race bib at check-in, which should be pinned to their shorts. Please bring your own soccer ball (clearly labeled with your name), shin guards, and water.

Baltimore Union will be using Playmetrics as our youth sports management platform moving forward. This replaces Sports Connect.  New and returning families should create a new account with Playmetrics.

Yes, many of our teams are hosting open practices before tryouts. This gives your player a chances to meet the team and the coaches. Tryouts will still take place in the rain. In the event of lightning or thunder, all players and spectators must immediately return to their cars for safety. Any delays or cancellations due to severe weather will be communicated through our website, social media, and email.

Offers will begin within 24 hours after the final tryout session. Invitations will be sent starting with the top teams and will continue as additional teams are formed. Once an invitation is received, players and families will have 24 hours to accept or decline their spot.
