Baltimore Union SC is proud to welcome Chad Poarch as Head Coach for our U13 & U10 Elite Boys teams!

Chad brings a unique combination of professional playing experience and proven youth coaching background. Prior to and during his playing career, he coached within Sporting Delaware, where he focused on developing young players through strong fundamentals, game understanding, and confidence in possession.

As a player, Chad is known for his ability to impact the game from a defensive position, consistently joining the attack, creating chances, and putting pressure on opposing defenses. His style of play translates into an exciting, attacking mindset that will benefit our players as they grow.

His journey includes a breakthrough moment on the national stage in 2024, when he scored the $1 million game-winning goal at The Soccer Tournament, which is a high-profile, winner-take-all 7v7 competition featuring professional players, former internationals, and top talent competing for a $1 million prize. After winning the ball from former Portuguese international Nani, Chad calmly finished on the breakaway to secure the championship. He now stars with the Baltimore Blast, where he recorded 14 goals and 7 assists in his first season.

Chad Poarch, Head Coach – U13 & U10 Elite Boys

“I want players to really understand the game so they can make confident decisions on the field. We’ll focus on playing the right way and building through the pass, but I also want them to be fearless—especially in attacking areas. That’s where players can express themselves, take chances, and create moments that change games.”

Frank Assaro, Executive Director – Baltimore Union SC

“We want to recognize the incredible work Matt Bailey has done leading the 2014 group, alongside Assistant Coach Dom Costello. Together, they’ve built a strong foundation and instilled the fundamentals of the game the right way. With Matt’s work schedule, he needs to take a hiatus, but we fully expect him to return to the club in the future. We’re pleased that Dom will continue in his role, providing important continuity for the team. As we evaluated next steps, it was critical to find someone who could build upon what’s already been established, and we believe Chad is a perfect fit, someone the boys will connect with immediately while continuing their development.”

Danny Kelly, Director of Coaching – Boys

“Chad brings a great balance of high-level playing experience and real understanding of youth development. He knows how to connect with players, simplify the game, and help them grow in confidence. Just as importantly, he encourages players to be creative and take initiative in the attacking areas of the field, which is a big part of how we want our teams to play.”

Chad will also take over a talented and competitive U10 group within the club, an age group we believe has a strong foundation and exciting potential. Supporting him will be Assistant Coach Ade Parkes, who brings a wealth of coaching experience and player development expertise. Together, they will provide a structured, energetic, and positive environment for the players to continue their growth.

Welcome to Baltimore Union SC, Coach Chad!
